clowns for birthdays…I used the brown plastic bear shaped cookie cutter by Wilton to cut the cookies. It worked but I had to cut the ears before cooking.

I don’t like icing, most probably because I cannot manage it as perfectly as fondant. However, see above, it is true that writings with icing look more shiny and more 3-D…so I love the look.
Sometimes my customers ask me how I make these photo cookies. So here is the trick. You need to buy a brand new computer together with special edible ink cartridges. The paper is Lucks edible rice paper in size A4. It is as simple as getting a print out, but slightly more difficult to work with as the paper is pretty thin and can melt in hot environment or with wet fingers etc.

Whenever the first tooth of our baby peeks through, we celebrate it by giving a party to our family, usually a few months before 1st birthday. We have some traditions to it. We place a number of items representing occupations on the floor (ie a sthetescope for a doctor, a calculator for a financial analyst or accountant, a book for academic career, maybe a laptop for a computer engineer, scissors for a tailor, brush for an artist etc). The first object the baby selects tells you what occupation he/she will choose in the future. My daughter selected the sthetescope so we will know by experience if this works 🙂
The day is named ‘Tooth Wheat’ as we cook and handout wheat to our guests. Those who love it sweet ornament the wheat with fruits, dry fruits, sugar, chocolate etc… and those who love it salty can add salt and yoghurt… Turkish traditions 🙂

I have this dream (well idea) to change my home into office + home. I have a large living room, by the house gate, so I hope to divide into two, such that the area closer to the door would be the office, and I would close the home pieve where we would have our sofas and TV. Just a thought for these days, but I believe this will be needed sooner or later. I am not in a rush as a shared kitchen is not helping either. I might want to move out to a real office sooner or later. So waiting!
I love to decorate different baby shower cookies, but mothers love these shapes so much that every time, I end up decorating the same cookies 🙂 They seem to be my forever models.
