BRIDE AND GROOM DRESSED HEART SHAPED COOKIES

Right before marriage, people love anything that resembles bride and groom; this is the magic of a marriage. I made these cookies for a Japanese bride getting married to a Turkish groom. In Turkey, our favor to our guests is usually including almond candies. However, chocolates and cookies have also started to get popular; so here is my addition to the wedding industry.

TURKISH CUSTOMS

There is a bead we all know about in Turkey. The one above looks very much like it (mine being a cookie). It is said to protect people from bad eyes or evil thoughts. Some people believe in this bead, very much typical Turkish item.
Once again, we celebrate the arrival of first tooth of our babies. These cookies were for such a party, toothy rabbits, teeth, tooth brushes and the bead. Two names depicted, as they were for twins; Emir & Demir.

WINNIE THE POOH PHOTO COOKIES

I am a cartoon lover, but I dislike to watch. Just enjoy the characters…and my favorite is Mickey Mouse (maybe also Goofy). This is my plan for this years’s birthday party that I will plan and organzie for my daughter. A lot of thoughts are in the air, but they will start to get into shape sooner or later. Then I should start working on provision of equipment, party materials. My wish is to hire some large place and invite every family member and close friends. Do you know any blogger who has planned and executed a great Mickey or Mickey’ friends party? Would love to see and get ideas.

I was not able to celebrate my baby’s first birthday last year, because my uncle was very sick, and I did not feel like doing it. We then lot my uncle, and it is still the greatest pain in my heart- forever missing my dearest!

NAME COOKIES

These letter cookies have become one of the most popular. People love their name written just like this. These 2 were requested by same person, an aunt to 2 kids, with the given names: Ayşe & Nehir (well Turkish names).

Some day I should get my own or my daughter’s name written and I can hang the photo on one of my walls, why not! I should do that 🙂
