TOOTH & TOOTHBRUSH COOKIES FOR BORA

First Tooth Celebration Parties have become pretty popular amongst Turkish babies…and moms love my tooth and toothbrush shaped cookies. Here is another set for Bora…
I paste stickers behind the package of any cookies, and below is the one for Bora, notifying his first tooth is out there…

TURKISH CUSTOMS

There is a bead we all know about in Turkey. The one above looks very much like it (mine being a cookie). It is said to protect people from bad eyes or evil thoughts. Some people believe in this bead, very much typical Turkish item.
Once again, we celebrate the arrival of first tooth of our babies. These cookies were for such a party, toothy rabbits, teeth, tooth brushes and the bead. Two names depicted, as they were for twins; Emir & Demir.

FIRST TOOTH CELEBRATION COOKIES

It is a custom in my country, Turkey to celebrate the arrival of first tooth/teeth of new born babies. On this special day, we invite our friends/relatives to our homes or outside for a party. There is some special food to deliver, but it also became popular to hand out cookies in shape of tooth & toothbrush to the guests.
We also east some special food made of wheat. Difficult to say, I think it is boiled. And then, we serve it either salty or sweet, with ingredients. Those who prefer it sweet, add on top of it, chocolate or some fruits or dried fruits, nuts etc.

These cookies were quickly prepared for such a celebration party for a baby girl.

with the hope that she will have no pain while delivering her teeth, and that she will brush her teeth minimum three times a day 🙂
